Can somatic therapy be done virtually?

Yes, as a matter of fact, many of the techniques and connecting points begin with you and your own body. I am guiding and tracking your nervous system through voice, breath, facial expressions etc. Some of the exercises are done with imagery, or guided meditation and are as effective when done virtually.


What if it’s not a good fit?

You have complete self-determination over your treatment. If you decide not to continue, or would like to ask for a referral, you have every right to do so. I will support what ever is best for you.


Do Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic therapy help with trauma?

Yes, both are evidence based treatment that involve the limbic system of the brain to process and discharge trauma stored in the body. This helps activate the body’s “rest, digest, and repair” mechanism.


Do you do shadow work?

Yes! I love helping folks navigate their own shadow work. This means we unconsciously put memories, emotions, beliefs into what’s called the “shadow”. These are blocked from our conscious memory, and when consistently rejected and shunned, they tend to grow and demand more attention.

Is Inner child work a part of IFS?

Yes, IFS includes connecting to parts of ourselves that have histories, memories, trauma, legacies, and even resiliencies that are blocked from our awareness presently. Connecting through a younger version of ourselves, we are able to heal at a “deep tissue” level.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance. I do offer sliding scale based on need.

Do you offer sliding scale?

Yes, I do have a limited amount of sliding scale slots. Priority given to folks with marginalized identities. Please ask, if you are in need of a reduced fee service.
